Con Dao tourism revenue in the first 6 months of 2017 increased

Plan indicators of Con Dao district in the first 6 months increased, in which the total revenue of tourism and services increased 23.37% over the same period in 2016, tourism turnover reached 65.97% of plan of this year .

Along with the efforts of the locality, implementing the resolution of the Party Committee of Con Dao district, the Executive Committee of the district Party Committee has proposed many solutions focused on strengthening the direction of socio-economic development. In the first six months of 2017, most economic indicators reached and exceeded 50% of the plan of this year. In particular, the important indicators as tourism revenue reached 65.97% of the plan, state budget revenue in the district reached 60.7% of the plan.

Government of Con Dao district deploys many solutions to develop tourism, including continuing to improve the quality of tourism services, price stabilization and management of tourism accommodation; To carry out civilized behavior in tourism activities; to adjust order in district and to handle pedlarys; to ensure security and safety for tourists at tourist sites; To keep a green, clean, beautiful, safe and friendly tourism environment; Reorganize tour activity, tour guides.

On the other hand, tourism is a general economic sector so this needs to be fiercely committed by various levels of committees and departments in order to solve inadequacies and overcome weaknesses such as ensuring food safety, price of services; The collection and treatment of waste at sea drifted to the island causing environmental pollution; Developing traffic between the island and the local provinces to boost tourism. Solving difficulties and obstacling to help investors accelerate the progress of the tourism projects to soon put the project into operation to create new products for the increasing and diverse needs of domestic and foreign tourists to reach the target and plan for the last 6 months of the year, contributing to boost the socio-economic development of the locality.
