Planning for Con Dao airport in the period up to 2020, with orientation to 2030

At present, Ministry of Transport is organizing the adjustment of the planning of air transport development up to 2020 and orientation to 2030. Therefore, the determination of the role and size of Con Dao International transport Island  The island should be researched on the basis of the overall system, transport Island network, international airports to ensure the synchronization.

Ministry of Construction proposes to clearly define the scope, boundary and scale of the detailed planning area of Con Dao  airport in Con Dao's general planning up to 2030 was approved by the Prime Minister in Decision No. 1518 / QD-TTg dated on 05/9/2011, as a basis for land management, articulation of functional areas around Con Dao Airport in overal development of Con Dao.

Planning projects also need to clarify the bases and calculation methods for forecasting passenger and cargo transportation as a basis for defining the scale of the airport class according to the needs and development practices; clarify the provisions of Con Dao's master plan for the airport detailed planning area, to identify technical infrastructure links between detailed planning and general planning so as to ensure the uniformity, synchronous between levels of planning.

The detailed planning dossier for Con Dao Airport was prepared on the basis of the provisions of Law on Construction 2014. Therefore, Ministry of Construction proposed to supplement the contents of land use master plan together with land use criteria, architectural landscape space of Airport, high level planning, telecommunications infrastructure ... according to Decree No. 44/2015 / ND-CP dated 06/5/2015 of the Prime Minister, the Government has stipulated some contents of construction planning and Circular No. 12/2016 / TT-BXD dated 29/6/2016 stipulating profile of the task and regional construction planning, urban planning. and planning construction of specific functional areas.

It is known that development planning of air transportation to 2020 and orientation to 2030 was approved by the Prime Minister in Decision No. 21 / QD-TTg dated January 08, 2009, Con Dao Airport Island is one of the 16 domestic islands that have been put into use until 2020 and continue to be maintained and developed until 2030.
