8 ASEAN countries will attend Vietnam International Travel Mart - VITM HANOI 2017

8 ASEAN countries will attend VITM Hanoi 2017 including The Philippines, Thailand, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Laos and Singapore. Besides offering opportunities for promotion of Vietnam tourism, delegations from ASEAN countries also carry "specialties" culture - art of their country, especially the Ministry of Tourism Indonesia will have a national cultural performances at the outdoor stage of the Fair.

Vietnam International Travel Mart - VITM HANOI 2017 will be held at 91 Tran Hung Dao Street, Ha Noi city from 6th to 9th April, 2017. VITM 2017 will have the theme "Hanoi - The destination of Vietnam Tourism". This fair will contribute to increase the number of tourists to capital and boost tourism development for the northern region. The images, documents and tourism products of Ha Noi will be prioritized for introduction, promotion before, during and after the fair.

VITM 2017 will continue to deploy VITM Online system. This Tripi system was introduced in 2015 and brough convenience of assisting domestic and international travel businesses to offer their products, especially for customers searching for travel products. VITM Online (Tripi.vn) has been upgraded and added news options to bring more benefits and convenience for users in 2016. With these facilities, VITM Online Tripi system was awarded the 2nd Vietnam Talent Award 2016. At VITM 2017, VITM Online Tripi system continues to provide more convenient services, saving time and money for tourists and businesses.

With objective of stimulating tourism in the region through facilities, trippi.vn aims to integrate information of vehicles and entertainment activities at destinations into the package of its new products with the name "Holidays"; Especially adding some new products such as air tickets, hotels, transports, entertainment activities in Southeast Asia.

The Vietnam International Travel Mart also noted many activities which will be held for the first time such as B2B activities, the signing ceremony of a cooperation agreement between the Vietnam Travel Association and the American Travel Association.

This is also the first time VITM organized the International Street Food Festival. According to PCT - Vietnam Tourism Association, Head of Organizing Board International Tourism Fair VITM 2017 - Mr. Vu The Binh at the press conference, there will be from 7-8 countries with more than 20 booths attending the International Street Food Festival. With the aim of promoting Viet Nam street food and giving tourists a unique street food experience of some countries in the region, the International Street Food Festival will be participant of dozens of chefs coming from Vietnam and participating countries with the most characteristic street food.

According to information from Head of Organizing Board - Mr. Vu The Binh, VITM will be 450 booths of 652 enterprises from 43 provinces and 25 countries, territories. There are 175 hotels/resorts; 265 tour operators, 66 tourism promotion centers/travel associations, 10 airlines and 127 service providers among this figure.

Participants will bring many attractive tourism stimulus programs in both quantity and quality, give visitors practical benefits. Up to this time, there will be 45,000 cheap airline tickets and over 15,000 special discount package tours.

A noteworthy point about the quality of VITM 2017 is participation of many countries and regions with attractive tourism products and many special culture - art activities. Among the 25 countries and territories registered, there are very strong countries in tourism besides eight Asean countries. These countries are favorite destinations of Vietnamese tourists. At the same time, these are also countries, regions with many potential tourists such as Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Russia, India, USA, France, Germany, Australia, Switzerland, Israel, Hong Kong, the United Arab Emirates.

VITM Hanoi 2017 marks the five-year development of Vietnam International Travel Mart, a prominent annual tourism event of Vietnam Tourism, a leading tourism fair in the region. VITM Hanoi 2017 is organized by Vietnam Tourism Association and the Hanoi People's Committee at 91 Tran Hung Dao Street, Hoan Kiem District, Ha Noi city.

VITM Hanoi 2017 promotes all three types of  INBOUND, OUTBOUND & INLAND.

INBOUND & INLAND

In response to Ha Noi's Tourism Development Program, VITM Hanoi 2017 is titled "Hanoi - The destination of Vietnam Tourism". Ha Noi is a nice city with 1000 years of civilization tradition. This city is also a political, economic and cultural center of the country. With hundreds of cultural relics, scenic spots and traditional culinary specialties, with strong tourism development policies, Hanoi is a leading destination of Vietnam and the region.

In addition to tourism stimulating activities and introducing tourism products of businesses and localities nationwide in general, VITM Hanoi 2017 will provide special support for tourism businesses, local authorities of tourism taking an opportunity to introduce, promote and reach out to thousands of travel companies,  media companies on national and international and tens of thousands of visitors at the fair.

OUTBOUND

With a population of over 92 million people and an economy is growing steadily, demand for overseas travel of  Vietnamese people has increased rapidly (increasing by 15% per year), expected to reach 6.5 million people in 2016. Vietnamese tourists have become an important market for many countries in Southeast Asia, Northeast Asia and many other countries.

VITM Hanoi 2017 will provide an ideal opportunity for tourism promotion agencies and foreign tourism enterprises to promote destinations, introduce and provide information on their tourism products to travel businesses and Vietnamese tourists. VITM also offers opportunities for Vietnamese people to explore and select international and domestic tours for their individual trips, family trips or businesstrips.
