The Can Tho City Journalists' Association visits and works with the People's Committee of Con Dao district

The delegation has 13 members, including journalists working at the Can Tho City Journalists' Association, the Vietnam News Agency in Can Tho, the Military zone 9 Newspaper, the Can Tho Radio and Television Station and Can Tho newspapers. The delegation arrived in Con Dao on the morning of September 11, 2017 and expected to leave in September 14, 2017.

Mr. Nguyen Van Minh - Deputy Director of the Office of the Journalists Association of Can Tho city said the purpose of this trip to Con Dao is to learn, study and reflect on the socio-economic development, national defense, historical and cultural relics of Con Dao district of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province in order to collect creative materials of high quality journalism on islands.

According to the program on September 12, the delegation will visit the Con Dao historical monuments, Con Dao Temple, Hang Duong Pagoda and Con Dao prison camps. On 13th September, the delegation will take a field trip to Con Dao National Park, marine ecosystems, coral reefs, to watch sea turtles laying eggs, preservation procedures for conservation of special species preserved only in Con Dao and then visit the beach with beautiful green environment in Con Dao.
