Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh visited and presented gifts to families under preferential treatment policy and children in Con Dao

Representatives of district leaders such as Mr Le Van Duc - Deputy Secretary of Con Dao District Party; Nguyen Anh Nhut - Vice Chairman of People's Committee of Con Dao district; Heads of departments, boards of district met  and worked with the delegation.

Vice President and her delegation heard Mr. Nguyen Anh Nhut report on the results of the implementation of gratitude, work of protection and care of children in the district. Con Dao district now has 89 people with revolutionary merits. The district has implemented good policy and not to keep records unsolved. About housing policy, district has built 28 gratitude houses and repaired 30 houses for families under preferential treatment policy. Providing free-of-charge health care for 100% of the policy beneficiaries, providing education incentives for 13 turns of pupils, visiting and giving gifts to 644 beneficiaries in the holidays. About work of care and protection children, there is no school violence, food poisoning or sexual abuse of children in the first six months of the year; ensuring 100 % preschool children drunk school milk, giving gifts to 2,514 children, teenager on International Children's Day.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh was very happy because of development of Con Dao district today. She also appreciated development of the economy, social policies and children care work in the past time of the locality; honoring the responsibility of preserving and embellishing the national relics, creating an attractive destination for domestic and foreign tourists. In addition, comrade also pointed out that the current difficulty of district is not able to search all the remains and names of heroes, martyrs in Hang Duong cemetery. This is the problem that the State always ponders.

Con Dao government also celebrated the death anniversary of heroes, martyrs and patriots sacrificed at Con Dao prison on the same day. The vice President came to burn incense at Hang Duong cemetery, Con Dao Temple and visited Con Dao Prison on this occasion.
