A number of activities to celebrate the Anniversary of Communist Party of Vietnam and Lunar New Year 2025 in Con Dao

During the Lunar New Year 2025, numerous activities will take place in Con Dao District to celebrate the Anniversary of Communist Party of Vietnam and Lunar New Year 2025, contributing to an exciting atmosphere for the locals to enjoy the Spring Festival and celebrate Tet.

The People's Committee of Con Dao District has just issued Plan No. 416/KH-UBND dated November 19, 2024, to organize activities celebrating the Anniversary of Communist Party of Vietnam and Lunar New Year 2025, aimed at serving the locals to enjoy the traditional Tet festival. Various cultural and artistic activities will be held before, during, and after the Lunar New Year. Specifically, the opening cultural program for the Spring Festival and the culinary area for the Year of the Snake 2025 will take place at 7:30 PM on January 26, 2024. Additionally, the artistic program welcoming the new year 2025 (New Year's Eve) will occur at 10:20 PM on January 28, 2025, along with a fireworks display at midnight at Pier 914 in Con Dao District. A special New Year greeting event between the district leaders, the entire localas, and visitors will take place from 12:15 AM to 3:00 AM on January 29, 2025, at the Ton Duc Thang - Le Hong Phong Roundabout.

Besides preparing and organizing recreational activities for Tet, the district also pays attention to providing support for poor households, policy beneficiaries, and social welfare recipients. The Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, in coordination with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the district, will organize to provide Tet gifts for the poor, near-poor households, families with social protection beneficiaries, and households in difficult circumstances. This initiative aims to help these families celebrate the nation's traditional Tet in a joyful, happy, warm, and meaningful atmosphere, ensuring that no one is left behind.
