The Lifelong Learning Week launched by the Ministry of Education and Training is an activity to contribute to raising awareness of staff, teachers, students and social strata about the role, meaning and urgency of learning, updating and acquiring knowledge. Thereby, applying it into real life and social activities to full our personality, develop ourseft personally; increase labor productivity, develop culture and improve quality of life.

The Lifelong Learning Week 2020 with the theme "Digital transformation drives lifelong learning" is held from 9 October to 16 October 2020 in Con Dao district. On this occasion ,activities are launched including: propagandize on the mass media and the district’s website about the importance of lifelong learning as well as the great role of digital technology in learning; buid learning models; organize classes to suplying professional knowledge, political theory for officers, civil servants and employees; open vocational training for rural workers; update legal knowledge, health education, environmental education for people; deploy "Lifelong learning bookcases" in offices, units, residential areas ...

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Anh Nhut, Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Con Dao district said that the implementation of the Week of Lifelong Learning in Con Dao District to increase learning opportunities for social strata, create learning conditions for people of all ages, update their knowledge and skills, improve their understanding of various fields of social life. Learning with the support of technology is a great opportunity for all to actively update and exploit humanity's huge knowledge archive. This also contributes to changing learning methods, create effective and more relevant models in the era of technology 4.0.
