Con Dao National Park towards no more single-use plastics

Con Dao National Park Management Board has coordinated with The Coi Dong Nai Joint Stock Company to implement the program "Con Dao National Park has no disposable plastic items - KoN1" with awareness-raising activities for residents and tourists about the harmful effects of disposable plastic, in order to gradually change behavior and habits of using disposable plastic products, contributing to limit the increase in pollution and environmental degradation. Thereby, conserving natural resources, protecting biodiversity in Con Dao National Park.

 The program "Con Dao National Park has no disposable plastic items - KoN1" with the goal after 3 years (2020 - 2022), Con Dao National Park has no longer plastic.

 As part of a series of activities within the framework of the program, the Management Board of Con Dao National Park and The Coi Joint Stock Company held a conference to propagate and raise awareness about reducing plastic waste for the delegates, leaders of agencies, departments, unions, executive boards of 9 residential areas in the district; travel service business units, businesses, vehicle owners providing travel services and public servants, employees, workers of Con Dao National Park. With the aim of minimizing environmental pollution in tourism destinations in Con Dao National Park, minimizing the use of plastic waste, especially disposable plastic in the management scope of Con Dao National Park.

At the conference, delegates were introduced to the program "Con Dao National Park -  No Disposable Plastic Products - KoN1"; learn about the origin and harm of disposable plastic on the living environment and human health; measure to reduce plastic waste; change the habit of not using disposable plastic products through expert presentations and through documentaries about the harmful effects of plastic waste. As well as signing to support the program and signing a commitment to use disposable plastic products.
 Humans only take 1 second to throw plastic waste into the environment, but plastic waste takes hundreds of years, even thousands of years to decompose. Therefore, their consequences for the environment are really terrible. If they do not act promptly, plastic waste will seriously affect the earth and human life. Therefore, Right now, it is necessary to form awareness and habit of saying no to plastic products, especially disposable plastic.

These products are also provided free of charge to those who attend the program.
