Con Dao island in the southern province of Ba Ria Vung Tau has a 200 km coastline with dozens of beautiful beaches, pure blue water and colorful coral reefs. The island also has an historic prison and thousands of graves of revolutionary soldiers.

These prisoners had to work hard all day, and were held in the dark rooms with the hunger, cold, the lack of rice, food,clothes at night.
Phu Son Prison is located next to Ton Duc Thang and Nguyen An Ninh street. Tourists are easy to come this place. Phu Son Prison was also known as another name, Banh II. This prison was built by French colonists from 1908 to 1916. In the period of the US puppet, it was renamed Lao 2, Vi Nhan prison. Then they called it Camp 3. After the Paris Peace Accord in 1973, they called it Phu Son prison. This prison has an area of 13.228m2, consists of 13 large cells and 14 small cells.
American Tiger Cages relic is located on Nguyen Van Custreet. Tourists can travel by car to visit Phu Binh prison.This is the most extreme solitary confinement built up by the American to exile the Viet Nam patriots during the Americans and their puppets.
Phu Tho prison is located on Nguyen Van Custreet. Visitors can walk or move by car to visit Phu Tho Prison. This is a French prison,which was built for detention, isolation of new prisoners sent to the island or before moving to other prisons.
Tourists will have the chance to visit Hang Duong cemetery when coming to Con Dao. This is the resting place of thousands of Viet Nam revolutionaries and patriots who sacrificed their lives for our country’s liberty during 113 years under the brutal yoke of French colonialism and American imperialism.
Con Dao Prison, where some 20,000 Vietnamese revolutionaries died during the war against the French colonialists and American invaders, has become a special national relic.
After the Lunar New Year (Tet holiday), the VASCO (Vietnam Service Air Company) airlines operated five or six daily flights on the Ho Chi Minh city – Con Dao route, said Ms Trinh Thi Phuong, head of the VASCO branch in Con Dao.

Ba island has an area of ??576 hectares, is the third largest island in the archipelago of Con Son. Connect to Con Son island by a sea mouth named Cua Tu (Death Mouth). It is wide and calm bay, where almost anchorage of fishing boats.
Bay Canh lighthouse on Con Dao island is adjacent to international navigable channels. This is the outpost territorial waters of our motherland linking Vung Tau, Ho Chi Minh City and the Southwest territorial waters.
Ships will pick up visitors from Tourism Pier and take them to Bay Canh islet. When looking back the starting position, visitors can survey all of view of Con Son bay.
