Local agencies have recently conducted both scheduled and surprise inspections to detect and strictly handle unlicensed business activities, counterfeit goods, low-quality products, and merchandise of unknown origin. Authorities are reviewing all business establishments and restaurants in the area and have initiated a campaign for local businesses to pledge: “Say No to Street Vending” within their premises. This aims to foster a civilized, healthy business environment and improve service quality and Con Dao’s image in the eyes of tourists.

The initiative also seeks to raise awareness among locals and visitors about laws related to illegal street vending, food safety regulations, and especially to prevent the exploitation or coercion of children into street vending activities.
