Since the Lunar New Year, Con Dao has attracted a large number of visitors for sightseeing and relaxation. Tourists come not only to enjoy the pristine natural beauty—with crystal-clear beaches and fine white sand—but also to experience a journey of historical remembrance. During the 3-day Hung Kings' Commemoration holiday alone, the island welcomed nearly 11,000 tourist arrivals.

Hang Duong Cemetery, the final resting place of thousands of revolutionary soldiers, remained a significant spiritual site, drawing crowds of visitors who came to pay their respects and light incense. Meanwhile, the Con Dao prison relics also saw high visitor traffic. The historical sites across the island were well-maintained and clean, and interpretive services for tourists were carefully organized.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong, a tourist from Thai Nguyen, shared:
"In these April days, we always feel a deep connection to our roots and this sacred land of Con Dao, in gratitude for the immense sacrifices of our national heroes. The moment we stepped into Hang Duong Cemetery, we could immediately sense the sacredness of this place. Today has been an incredibly meaningful day."

Mr. Nguyen Van Tuan, a tourist from Hanoi, said:
"With a 3-day holiday, many people chose to come here to express their respect for the nation's heroes. I’ve been coming almost every year because I love the scenery, the weather, and the environment in Con Dao. Everything here—the air, the people—is simply wonderful."

This year, the Hung Kings’ Commemoration holiday coincided with the weekend, featuring pleasant weather and calm seas, which made it convenient for travelers to reach the island from the mainland. These favorable conditions also enhanced tourists’ experience of exploring and enjoying the beaches on the island. Security and public order were well managed, service prices remained stable, and beach lifeguard stations were efficiently operated to ensure safety for all visitors.

Ms. Nguyen Quynh Chau, a tourist from Hanoi, noted:
"This year’s trip to Con Dao impressed me from the moment we boarded the plane to arriving on the island. Everyone seems to share a strong awareness of protecting nature and keeping Con Dao clean. We really love it here and want to preserve every memory. The island was quite crowded due to the holiday, but still very clean, and the weather was just perfect."

Ms. Nguyen Thi Mong Khuyen, a tourist from Tay Ninh, shared:
"Taking advantage of a few days off, my family came here and found the beaches to be incredibly clear and beautiful. There are so many great spots to take photos, and everyone is very friendly. Today the weather is also amazing."

According to the Con Dao District Center for Culture, Sports, and Tourism, during the 3-day holiday, the district welcomed nearly 11,000 visitors, with occupancy rates at lodging facilities reaching about 68%. Total tourism revenue exceeded 41 billion VND (approx. 1.6 million USD). To meet growing tourist demand, the district has been developing diverse tourism activities such as eco-tours to forests and the sea, snorkeling, and baby turtle release programs, all of which aim to enhance service quality and leave a lasting impression on visitors.

With its rich tourism potential, Con Dao is not only an ideal destination for sightseeing and relaxation but also a place for individuals to reconnect with national history and heritage, especially during the Hung Kings’ Commemoration Holiday.
