Reopening of the Ma Thien Lanh – So Ray eco-tourism trail

From 15 November 2025, the Ma Thien Lanh – So Ray eco-tourism trail will officially reopen to visitors after being temporarily closed for more than 10 months.

On 12 November 2025, the Management Board of Con Dao National Park issued a notice announcing the reopening of the Ma Thien Lanh – So Ray eco-tourism route starting from 15 November 2025, following the suspension period.

Previously, on 27 December 2024, the Management Board had announced the temporary closure of the So Ray – Ong Dung eco-tourism trail to ensure visitor safety during the construction of the national electricity grid extension project to Con Dao district (Ba Ria – Vung Tau province). Part of the project passed through the So Ray area within Con Dao National Park, requiring restricted access.

As of now, the electricity project has been completed. Based on recent field inspections and assessments, conditions have been confirmed to meet the safety requirements necessary for eco-tourism activities to resume.
All organizations, individuals, travel agencies, and visitors using the Ma Thien Lanh – So Ray trail are required to pay the applicable entrance fees for sightseeing and natural heritage visits in accordance with current regulations.
