The event is co-organised by Lai Chau, Tuyen Quang and Ha Giang provinces in collaboration with the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism under the theme "Festival - identity, past and present in Vietnam’s mountainous regions."
The exhibition is divided into three sections, featuring each locality’s strength, including Lai Chau – the sonata of colours; Tuyen Quang – the historical region; and Ha Giang – the legendary buckwheat flowers.
In addition, a space featuring Hoa Binh province’s identities will be on display as of November 1 under the theme Hoa Binh - where the epic Muong gongs echo".
In addition to an exhibition of artifacts which include paintings, photographs, agricultural products, local specialties, handicrafts, and the tourism culture of each province, the event also offers a range of activities such as local folk dance performances and an ethnic minority traditional dress parade to serve visitors.
The event provides information on local attractive tourist destinations and their tourism activities, while introducing projects calling for investment in local tourism.
The exhibition is open to the public until December 31, 2016.
