With the theme “Vietnamese Rivers”, the first prize in the photograph collection category went to Song Nho Que (Nho Que River) by Tran Binh An. Meanwhile the second and third prizes went to Song nuoc mien Tay (Rivers in the Western Region) by Nguyen Hong Nga and Nhip song tren song Hoai (Life on the Hoai River) by Tong Tran Son, respectively.
In the single photograph category, first prize went to Thai Quan Chung with his photo entitled Pho tren song (Streets on the River). Second and third prizes were presented to Nguyen Anh Tuan with his work named Dong song tuoi tho (Childhood River) and Nguyen Thanh Vuong with his photo entitled Ben nhau thang ngay (Together Forever).
With the theme “Vietnamese Heritage Photo,” the first prize went to Le Duc Thanh with his work titled Duong sat Viet Nam (Viet Nam Railways) in the photograph collection category, and Le Quoc Minh with his work named Ro som (Fishing in the Morning) in the single photograph category.
In addition, two second, two third and four consolation prizes were also presented.
The works were selected from among over 5,400 entries by 507 domestic and foreign photographers. The entries feature nature and daily life in Viet Nam as well as tangible and intangible heritage, especially the natural beauty, cultural life and activities of people living along rivers around the country.
The contest aimed to call on people to support the protection and preservation of Viet Nam’s cultural heritage, and to offer an opportunity to photographers to exchange their experience and show their work to the public.
