Con Dao will organize various entertainment activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of its liberation

The traditional raft racing teams competed during the 49th anniversary of the Liberation of Southern Vietnam and Con Dao in 2024.

As part of the celebrations, Con Dao District will hold commemorative ceremonies at Hang Duong Cemetery, Con Dao Temple, and Hang Keo Cemetery at 7:00 AM on April 25, 2025.
One of the key traditional events will be the 19th Traditional Raft Racing and Raft Building Competition, held on April 30, 2025 at the 914 Pier Historic Site. In addition, the district will organize a range of sports tournaments throughout April and May, including men’s and women’s football, indoor volleyball, badminton, recreational volleyball, table tennis, and pickleball.
A culinary area themed “Folk Cuisine of Vietnam’s Three Regions” will be held along Nguyen Hue Street, starting at 5:00 PM on April 26 and lasting until May 1.
The district will also set up a recreational zone at the Nguyen Hue – Le Hong Phong roundabout, extending to Le Hong Phong Street up to the Pham Van Dong intersection.
Other cultural highlights include activities for Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day (April 21), a book exhibition at Le Hong Phong Secondary School, and a storytelling contest for young readers.
