Opening of refresher class on ecotourism and community

On October 14, the Department of Tourism coordinated with the People's Committee of Con Dao District and Vung Tau Tourism College organized the opening of a refresher class on ecotourism and community-based tourism for 40 students. They are tour guides, presenters, the staff of agencies, units and travel agencies, restaurants, hotels in the Con Dao district.

Participating in the training course, the trainees can learn and research some basic knowledge about ecotourism and community-based tourism; methods of managing and developing local community-based tourism; accommodation services, basic skills of communication, and reception process with tourists; the role of a local tour guide ...

In addition, the trainees have also equipped knowledge about forest and marine eco-tourism routes and destinations in Con Dao National Park; historical, cultural, and spiritual monuments in Con Dao district.

Through the training, learners are strengthened and updated knowledge and skills for on-site guides and ecotourism and community-based tourism. From there, this knowledge is applied to the practice of serving tourists, in order to improve the quality of Con Dao tourism services associated with the preservation of traditional cultural history, protecting natural resources, and sustainable development.
