Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism was asked coordinate with localities in promoting domestic tourism associated with safety, especially during Christmas, New Year 2022 and Lunar New Year.
For international tourism, the Government directs to add more type of visitors, markets and destinations in the second phase of pilot program to welcome international tourists and develop plan for 2022.
The Government also asks to strengthen communication and promote Vietnam's tourism on digital platforms and apply new technologies.
Last November, Phu Quoc (Kien Giang), Quang Nam, Khanh Hoa welcomed the first international tourists by vaccine passport.
The Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) has officially launched the "Live Fully in Vietnam" communication campaign associated with the national brand identity of Vietnam - Timeless Charm on digital platforms such as the website https://vietnam.travel, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Pinterest, and Tiktok.
On 13 December, VNAT launched “Hero” clip and “Live Fully in Vietnam” page introducing culture, cuisine, wellness, beach tourism. In the page, modern imaging technologies were applied to show the outstanding destinations of Vietnam's tourism.
