Meticulousness of Hue cuisine comes all the way from ingredients selection to dish decoration, which has always attracted people’s attention when visiting the former capital of Viet Nam.
“Every step requires dedication. The dish is good only when its ingredients are fresh. When the dish is served hot, diners surely will be impressed,” said Nguyen Thi Loc, owner of the Ba Do Restaurant.
During Hue Festival 2018, restaurants within the city were bustling with both domestic and international diners. Many visitors revealed that cuisine is the magnet pulling them into the ancient city.

Many activities were being held throughout the recent Hue Festival in order to promote the city’s one-of-a-kind cuisine, including Hue international food festival, royal gala dinner, vegetarian food court, among others.
Dinh Manh Thang, Chairman of Thua Thien Hue provincial Tourism Association told VNA that they have put the most distinctive dishes of Hue on show during the international food festival. He also noted that this move would impress tourists and promote the provincial tourism.
Besides antique look and historical values, Hue’s distinctive cuisine has been making the central province a tourism hotspot in Viet Nam.
