Together in the jubilant air of Happy Mid-Autumn Festival of children nationwide; On September 24th, at Cultural Center, People's Committee of Con Dao District held a Full Moon Festival Night in 2018.

On the night of the full moon festival this year, after fun performance of children from nursery school and a lively Lion Dance Scene, young children in the island district joined in lantern competition in 2018. This is one of activities that children Con Dao eagerly await every Mid-Autumn Festival. Particularly, the weather in Con Dao Mid-Autumn winds, calm sea, bright moon and texcitement of children make the atmosphere of the moon night more jubilant, excited.
In the lantern competition, pupils of Le Hong Phong Secondary School and Cao Van Ngoc Primary School together with their leaders brought 22 lanterns made from materials such as plastic bottles, bamboo, knives, newspaper, cloth, ... with ideas are specific by many lively, funny but equally meaningful model. These are models of rabbit pearl, star, pikachu, dragons, ducklings, peacocks, turtles, ... and all towards theme of love for island sea and environmental protection.
After lantern competition, students took part in the procession of Mid-Autumn Festival on the main streets of Con Dao center. In a joyful and excited atmosphere, procession of lights connected with shimmering and vibrant colors that make the night in faraway island more excited.
At the end of the competition, Organizing Board awarded 7 awards for high-impact lanterns with a total prize money of 7,300,000 VND.
Also on the occasion of Mid-Autumn Festival 2018, "Ba Ria-Vung Tau Child Protection Fund" granted 50 gifts to children in extremely difficult circumstances of Con Dao district; each worth 250,000 VND; Con Son district's People's Committee awarded 2,803 gifts for children in the district, each gift worth 100,000 VND. In addition, from scholarship fund, residential areas have also awarded hundreds of scholarships for high achievement students in 2017-2018.
With attention of the province, the district, organizations and individuals in the district, children in the remote island have a warm and meaningful Mid-Autumn Festival.
