Localities fully prepare conditions to launch safe tourism
Pham Van Thuy, Deputy Director General of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, said that the launch of national domestic tourism is a bridge between localities, tourism businesses and management agencies, and is a stepping stone to help tourism businesses gradually recovered. The program "Restoring domestic tourism nationwide" has had a strong response from localities, central state management agencies in charge of tourism, tourism associations of provinces and cities and thousands of tourism businesses.
Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Tourism Tran Trung Hieu said that in order for tourism activities to return to be effective and safe, it is necessary to closely unite and coordinate with service, destination providers and government uthority and management agency, association organization. Tourism products, travel and accommodation routes need to be implemented properly and methodically to ensure the safety of visitors.
The Hanoi Department of Tourism has consulted with the City People's Committee. Hanoi has detailed a plan to restore and develop tourism activities in the capital in association with COVID-19 prevention and control from now until the end of the year. The stages of restoring tourism activities follow the epidemic scenario that the Ministry of Health is developing to uniformly promulgate and it based on the guidance "Safely adapting to the COVID-19 epidemic".
It is expected that in October 2021, Hanoi tourism will deploy activities in phase 3: Allowing accommodation establishments, tourist destinations, travel agencies, and transportation to be eligible to operate again. This phase mainly serves tourists in the capital. After Hanoi moves into the "new normal" phase, the Department of Tourism will assess the situation and recommend the implementation of phase 4, allowing tourism businesses to operate normally and welcome guests at good disease controlled localities.
Mr. Cao Tri Dung, Chairman of Da Nang Tourism Association said, Da Nang has fully prepared conditions to welcome guests. Up to now, Da Nang basically has a set of safe tourism criteria. Therefore, Da Nang plans to welcome guests in December 2021 when the rate of Da Nang people being vaccinated against COVID-19 reaches 80%. In the immediate future, Da Nang welcomes guests in the area.
Thua Thien Hue province said there were also ready conditions to launch safe tourism. Ha Giang is also applying 6 measures to develop tourism such as building a safe destination, investing in facilities and reducing service prices etc
In Khanh Hoa, Deputy Director of the Department of Tourism Nguyen Thi Le Thanh said, the Department has requested that any unit with 100% of employees injected with 2 doses of the vaccine will be able to operate. It is expected that in October, when all people in the province receive the first injection, Khanh Hoa will welcome domestic tourists.
