Ngu Hanh Temple is a new historical site in Con Dao

The Temple was built around 1970, located about 12 km from Con Dao Center, along the road to Ben Dam to the southwest, contributed by the people of Con Dao to create and named Ngu Hanh Temple. The shrine of the five goddess called Ngu Hanh Nuong Nuong.

According to folk legends, the five goddesses have special powers for jobs involving metals, wood, water, firewood and land (Metal, Wood, Water, Fire, Earth). The goddess always bless farmers, fishermen, artisans, traders and local peaceful and prosperous. Con Dao mobilizes organizations and enterprises to donate repaired remedies, recently restored on May 17, 2015 (or April 19.4 lunar calendar).

Nowadays, Con Dao people and tourists often visit there, so it becomes the new attraction of Con Dao.
