Opening Ceremony of "Lifelong Learning Week" 2018

On the morning of 01/10/2018, at Le Hong Phong Junior High School, Con Dao District People's Committee organized a launching ceremony of 2018 lifelong learning week with a theme "In the way to learn self-learning (Ho Chi Minh ). " Attending the launching ceremony were Mr.Tran Tan Dat - Vice Chairman of District People's Council, Mr.Nguyen Anh Nhut - Vice Chairman of District People's Committee, representatives of leaders of departments in the district.

District Study Encouragement Association has awarded 12 scholarships to 12 poor and overcome pupils of the district.

The Lifelong Learning Day is an annual event held in early October every year, aimed at direct and extensive advocacy to raise awareness for everybody who has the meaning of lifelong learning and contributes to building a learning society in the locality. At the same time, capacity of educational institutions outside the school should be improved in order to meet the lifelong learning needs of all people in the area.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Mr.Nguyen Anh Nhut - Vice Chairman of District People's Committee stated the meaning and importance of study and stated that this is an opportunity for all levels, sectors and agencies. , a unit of concern for lifelong learning, is an opportunity for educational institutions outside the school such as libraries, museums, monuments, cultural centers, ... to raise ability to provide education in meeting. Study needs for all people, while providing opportunities for all people of all ages to participate in learning, especially short-term refresher programs such as knowledge, skills and knowledge of areas of social life contribute to improve quality of life for people. He also asked agencies, departments, unions and the entire population to actively respond to activities of building a learning society and increase investment, considering education as a top priority, universal and typical advanced replication, good people mirror good work on building a study society.
