Con Dao welcomes the international cruise ship National Geographic Resolution

The high-end cruise ship named National Geographic Resolution arrived at Ben Dam Port, Con Dao district, Ba Ria-Vung Tau province on the morning of October 5, 2023 bringing 40 international tourists to the island to visit ecotourism sites in the district.

Con Dao was chosen as one of the waypoints of the international passenger ship National Geographic Resolution in the voyage to visit and explore Vietnam

National Geographic Resolution is a Bahamian luxury cruise ship that entered service at the end of 2021. With a length of 125m that can accommodate 138 guests, the ship is beautifully designed outside in the shape of a blue whale. The ship can run on icy waters and modern equipment such as a floating resort complex. The ship carries about 40 passengers from many countries such as the US, Australia, Canada, New Zealand,...

The welcoming ceremony of the National Geographic Resolution cruise ship was set up in a friendly and safe way by Con Dao District People's Committee and agencies.

The international tourists visiting Con Dao have contributed to the recovery of the tourism industry after a prolonged epidemic and economic recession as well as creating a beautiful and impressive image of Con Dao people and landscape,  opening a new direction in cooperation to develop international maritime routes in Ba Ria - Vung Tau.

In Con Dao, tourists on the National Geographic Resolution ship are guided to conquer So Ray Plantation peak, visit Hang Duong cemetery, Con Dao Museum, and other historical relics. In the afternoon, the tourists go snorkeling and kayaking in Bay Canh island.     

According to the tour itinerary, the National Geographic Resolution ship will leave Con Dao at 6:30 p.m. and continue the journey to Malaysia.
