Full Moon Festival Night 2023 in Con Dao island

The plan aims to help protect and promote traditional cultural values, provide a useful entertainment space for children when the Mid-Autumn Festival is coming, and promote the development and promotion of tourism, widely propagate to tourists to know and participate in meaningful activities of the 2023 Mid-Autumn Festival in Con Dao district.
According to the Organizing Committee, 18 large lanterns with the theme of freedom will be displayed, which has the traditional cultural value of Vietnam's Mid-Autumn Festival. With eco-friendly materials, recycled materials, as well as artisan’s skillful hands and children’s rich imagination, this year's lantern exhibition is expected to become an artistic painting.

Specifically, the time and location for lantern display, opening ceremonies, and the "2023 Full Moon Night" parade are as follows:
1. Lantern display
a) Time: September 26th, 2023, from 19:00 to 22:00 (August 12th to 13th in the lunar calendar).
b) Location: Center of Culture, Information, and Sports
2. Opening Ceremony "Full Moon Night"
a) Time: Starting at 19:00 on September 28, 2023 (August 14, lunar calendar).
b) Location: Center of Culture, Information, and Sports (Nguyen Duc Thuan Street)
3. Lantern parade
a) Time: Expected to be September 28, 2023 (August 14, lunar calendar) at 20:30.
b) Routine
+ Streets: Nguyen Duc Thuan – Ton Duc Thang – Le Duc Tho – Nguyen An Ninh – Pham Van Dong – Le Hong Phong – Nguyen Hue – Nguyen Duc Thuan.

Especially worth mentioning is the Mid-Autumn Lantern Parade - an indispensable activity during the Full Moon Festival. Con Dao's lantern parade provides visitors with a unique and interesting experience. On the night of the Mid Autumn Festival, the streets of Con Dao island are filled with giant lanterns of various shapes and colors, as well as the laughter of children. Tourists can enjoy a joyful atmosphere, participate in parades and other activities, and admire lion dance. Con Dao's Mid-Autumn Festival is an opportunity to explore the unique culture and enjoy the fun in the beautiful autumn space.
From September 26 - 28, (August 12 - 14 of the lunar calendar), Con Dao District People's Committee organizes traditional Mid-Autumn Festival cultural activities 2023 at Le Hong Phong street.
