Provincial People's Committee approved for Superdong Joint Stock Company to invest in Vung Tau

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Long, Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee chaired the meeting with departments, leaders of Con Dao district and Superdong JSC (headquarter in Kien Giang province) on investing and operating passenger ships from Vung Tau to Con Dao and vice versa.

At the meeting, Nguyen Thi Kim Hong, Deputy General Director of Superdong JSC, said that the company would like to invest two modern high-speed ships (about 200 billion VND per ship) running Vung Tau - Con Dao and vice versa.The speed of the ship is expected to be 25 - 27 nautical miles per hour, capacity of 300 passengers / ship. In addition, the company also wants to invest in building a three-star hotel, scale 150 rooms in Con Dao district.

After listening to the opinions of representatives of Con Dao's departments and districts, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Long made a concluding remarks on the investment proposal proposed by Superdong.He also assigned the Department of Transportation and Department of Construction to support Superdong JSC with

legal procedures and provide some necessary information such as weather, hydrography, landing sites in Vung Tau and Con Dao, The number of passengers traveling to Con Dao ... for the company to soon build investment plans.)

It is known that Superdong JSC has 13 high speed train and 1 ferry imported from Malaysia, load from 171-306 passengers, is transporting business routes Rach Gia - Phu Quoc, Ha Tien - Phu Quoc and Rach Price - Nam Du and Soc Trang - Con Dao.
