International visitors to Vietnam in 9 months reached 9,448,331, up 28.4%

According to data from the General Statistics Office, 9,448,331 foreign visitors came to Vietnam in the first 9 months of 2017, an increase of 28.4% over the same period of 2016

Particularly, in September 2017, the number of international visitors to Vietnam reached 975,952, down 20.6% over the previous month and up 18.6% over the same period in 2016.

During 9 months, the number of tourists reached 57.9 million domestic (including 27.8 million visitors stay). Total revenue from tourists is estimated at 376,000 billion, up 26.5% over the same period in 2016

In September 2017, the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism has launched a series of promotion programs, launching markets in important markets of Vietnam. In particular, the market launch program in four Nordic countries including Denmark, Norway, Finland, Sweden (from 13 to 22 September);In four Japanese cities: Kanagawa, Tokyo, Sendai and Nagoya (September 15-23). From day 25-30 / 9, Vietnam National Administration of Tourism will also continue to promote, introduce Vietnam's tourism in three Southeast Asian markets are Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand.

In addition, this month, Vietnam tourism also participate in a number of major international fairs such as JATA International Travel Fair in Japan, International Travel Top Resa International in France ...

With effective promotion programs in key markets, international visitors to Vietnam in the last months of the year are expected to continue to grow strongly,  contributing to the achievement of the sector's growth target for 2017.
