Afterwards, the delegation visited the Con Dao Prison Historical Monument, Pier 914 History and listened to the delegates explaining the history of the colony during 113 years (From 1862 to 1975). Through this activity, female cadres of the 7th Military Region have become more aware and respectful of the nation's heroic past; determine for the ideal of living beautiful, continue to contribute to the construction and defense of the country, worthy of the blood of his father has poured down.

Capt. Dang Thu Huong - Logistics Department 0f Military Region 7 - said: The first timewhen I came to colleges to participate in activities of the delegation I was very honored and proud, visit Hang Duong Cemetery, standing in front of the grave heroic martyrs, I am touched and find that I need to be responsible for better accomplishing all tasks assigned.

On journey to the source, the delegation visited, gifted 20 policy families on island. At each site visited, cadres of Military Women's Union kindly visited and expressed their affection and gratitude to the great sacrifices of the families for the cause of national liberation and land consolidation. On this occasion, the delegation gave each family a gift worth 1 million VND with the desire to encourage and share the difficulties and disadvantages that the policy beneficiaries have experienced.

Colonel Nguyen Ngoc Diep - Head of Women's Military Region 7 - said: After organizing theGood Women Contest in 2018 in Vung Tau city, organizers decided to organize the journey to Con Dao, this is an activity aimed at educating the revolutionary tradition and patriotism of female cadres of the Military Region7. Activities taking place on the islanddistrict are also aimed at expressing sentiments of female military cadres to the island's homeland.

Highlight of program is exchange activities between the Military Women's Army Region 7 with the witnesses, officers, soldiers of the island district. At the program, people heard many stories touching the hardships, sacrifices, courageous spirit, resounding fighting and the revolutionary victory of ex-prisoners who had been captured by the enemy full of periods of resistance; the exemplary implementation of Directive No.05 by the Politburo on promotion of study, follow the ideals, examples, ethics and style of Ho Chi Minh in the renewal period, building and maintaining sea sovereignty, the sacred island of the country.

Senior Lieutenant Le Thi Van - Ba Ria - Vung Tau Military Headquarters, said: "I have been to Con Dao many times but this trip is very meaningful to me and will never forget. Activities in the program on the source to help us more precious than the historical values, the heroic past of nation; reminds us of soldiers in peace must live, study and work worthy of the loss, sacrifice of generations of his father.

Also in this program, delegation exchanged the art with officers - soldiers of the armed forces in the district. The program was elaborately arranged, many cultural performances praised the country, the Party, Uncle Ho and the soldiers were coordinated by the Military Women's Union and soldiers - soldiers of the District Military Command. The show was filled with intimate exchanges of dear love between island and land soldiers.

On this occasion, Military Women's Union of Region 7 has handed over 20 gifts (500,000 VND each) to 20 gifted students and presented them with hundreds of books about Uncle Ho and Truong Sa, traditional army of People's Army of Vietnam, ... for the 2nd Infantry Battalion, Con Dao National Commune.

Being a national historical monument, the historical relics of Con Dao are the sacred historical mark, proud of people as well as the people of Vietnam. This has been a "red address" to educate the revolutionary tradition and patriotism for the younger generation. With the meaningful activities taking place on island districts, the journey to Con Dao is an interesting and valuable experience for female delegates of Women Union of Military Zone 7. This is both educational and fostering activities.
