Con Dao concerns the quality of service for high-class tourists

After the Covid-19 epidemic, the human resource for Con Dao tourism was not stable and disturbed, so the Management Board of Con Dao National Tourist Area, District department of Home Affairs, Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs have focused on training planning, training and qualification improvement, behaviour civilization, in which training courses for professional staff and rescue workers for water sports activities. Fostering professional tour guides at the particular destination; training course on ecotourism and community tourism knowledge, room-desk proficiency. The Province Job Service Center held the seventh of 2020 Official Job Session in Con Dao district, attracting 11 enterprises to participate directly and 56 enterprises to participate indirectly through the Center with a recruitment demand of 1,677 positions from unskilled workers to skilled ones. They investigate and make statistics on the number, qualifications and expertise of human resources serving tourism at Con Dao national tourist area board, assess the current situation of human resources serving at tourism service business establishments. As a result, by June 2020, the province has about 54.45%; workers serving in restaurants and food stores accounts for 16.46%; workers at the seafood and souvenir shops account for 4.4%; labor in the transport sector accounts for 22.75%. Trained workers account for 43.08%, untrained workers account for 56.92%.
From the end of September 2020, Bamboo Airways has launched direct flights from Hanoi, Hai Phong, Vinh, Thanh Hoa, Da Nang to Con Dao and vice versa, contributing to travel traffic between Con Dao and mainland ever closer and closer, the journey from all over the country to Con Dao can shorten and reduce costs. The connection of Con Dao with major cities of the country and the development of a number of interregional tourist routes have been facilitated, Con Dao national tourist area with key tourist destinations of the Mekong delta (Soc Trang, Can Tho), the Southeast region and a number of major tourist cities in the country (Hanoi, Hai Phong, Vinh, Ho Chi Minh City...) have been connected; a large number of tourists to Con Dao have been attracted, the development of accommodation, commerce and passenger transportation services have been significantly promoted. These contribute to job creation, ensure social security and economic development in the district. The business households in the district on the observance of the State's regulations on registration declared price, posted price and sale according to the registered, declared and listed prices; the goods fraud, counterfeit and commercial fraud; food safety; environmental sanitation; security; fire prevention and fighting of service establishments in the district were checked in 2020. During the year, the district interdisciplinary inspection team checked the observance of the provisions of law for 42 hotels, motels, homestays, catering business... Through inspection, most of the businesses have well implemented the provisions of the law. The work of explanation and tourist guidance in the district has been rectified; the state management of tourism has been strengthened; security and order, safety for tourists, environmental sanitation in tourism activities have been ensuring. They also deploy some solutions to limit and minimize street vendors and lottery tickets in Con Dao National Tourist Area.
