The online challenge "Green Handprint" is organized by the Management Board of Con Dao National Tourist Area in collaboration with WWF-Vietnam and consulting units to raise awareness and encourage tourists about the message of practicing single-use plastic reduction, not offering/burning joss paper when visiting historical sites, tourist attractions, and contribute to environmental protection and air quality preservation in Con Dao district.

Encourage the participation of businesses on the island in promoting and implementing the practice of reducing single-use plastic in their operations. Through this, promote the image of plastic-free tourism, green tourism, eco-tourism towards sustainable development and environmental protection in Con Dao. 
Every visitor to Con Dao carries valuable memories on their journey and leaves their own marks here. "Green Handprint" is something beautiful and unique. Did you know that the "Green Handprint" challenge is an opportunity for each of us to show our gratitude to the warm spirit of Con Dao and its beautiful nature! The content of the submission is a review article or sharing from tourists about their travel journey, exploring nature, and practicing spirituality combined with environmental protection actions at ecological tourism sites, historical sites in Con Dao.
 
Tourists can participate by scanning QR codes at designated locations to receive postcards or at banners at historical sites. For more information or inquiries, please inbox the Con Dao National Tourist Area's fanpage or call 0917 693 039 (during office hours).

 

Step 1: Check-in at least 3 tourist spots or historical sites using one of the media materials (postcards or check-in model at the 914 ship bridge).
Step 2: Take photos or videos of your travel experience, showcasing one of the suggested environmental protection actions:
- Using eco-friendly trays without plastic products
- Not offering/burning joss paper at spiritual tourist sites.
- Bringing your own water bottle when traveling
- "Say no" to plastic bags when shopping on the island.
- Dispose of trash properly.
Step 3: Post 5 - 10 photos or videos with a caption of at least 200 words sharing your travel itinerary in your personal Facebook
Step 4: Include the hashtags: #greenhandprint #condao #lessplastic #reduceplasticcondao and tag the Con Dao National Tourist Area's fanpage.
*Note: An additional point will be given when participants take a photo with a Con Dao postcard in their home province.

Each participant will have the chance to win various prizes with a total value of up to 23,000,000 VND.
Prize structure:
- 1 First Prize: worth 10,000,000 VND (Travel Voucher) + a set of badges and postcards of Con Dao.
- 2 Second Prizes: worth 5,000,000 VND/prize (Travel Voucher) + a set of badges and postcards of Con Dao.
- 3 Third Prizes: worth 1,000,000 VND/prize + a set of badges and postcards of Con Dao. *Note: Prizes will be awarded in physical items or equivalent value, not in cash.
- Challenge duration: from 00:00 on April 30th, 2024 to 24:00 on June 30th, 2024.
- Submission period: from 00:00 on April 30th, 2024 to 24:00 on June 30th, 2024.
- Scoring period: from July 1st, 2024 to July 9th, 2024.
- Announcement of results: July 10th, 2024.

Each visitor who wants to participate in the challenge can receive a free set of postcards (including 10 historical sites and tourist spots in Con Dao or 5 Con Dao badges, depending on the availability at each location) at the following places:
- Circular Economy Promotion Area - Sunrise Viewpoint (Sunrise Con Dao).
- Economic Circular Project - Sunset Viewpoint (Rebirth Zone)
- Con Dao Passenger Port
- Entrance fee point for Con Dao National Park
- Management Board of Con Dao National Tourist Area (03 Nguyen Hue, Nguyen Hue Street)
- De Lavie Café
