Con Dao Tourism Site Recognized As A National Tourism Site

On May 17, 2024, the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism signed Decision No. 1336/QD-BVHTTDL to recognize Con Dao as a national tourism site in Ba Ria-Vung Tau province.

According to the decision, Con Dao in Ba Ria-Vung Tau province is officially recognized as a national tourism site. The location and area of Con Dao National Tourism Site in Ba Ria-Vung Tau province are specified in Article 1, Decision No. 870/QD-TTg dated June 17, 2015, approved by the Prime Minister for the overall development planning of Con Dao National Tourism Site until 2030. The Provincial People's Committee of Ba Ria-Vung Tau is responsible for developing Con Dao National Tourism Site in accordance with the approved master plan for the construction of Con Dao. The Department of Tourism of Ba Ria-Vung Tau province shall report to the Provincial People's Committee of Ba Ria-Vung Tau, in coordination with the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, to organize the announcement of the decision of the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism to recognize Con Dao as a national tourism site, aiming to promote its image, attract investment, and attract tourists.
