THE NEW MARKET IS INTO OPERATION

After nearly two years of commencement of construction, on September 17th, 2019, the People's Committee of Con Dao district officially launched the new Con Dao into operation.

Constructing a new market in Con Dao to meet the needs of local people and tourists to exchange goods and shopping, contributing to improving the beauty, upgrading the regional technical infrastructure system, promoting development, socio-economic of the island district. The market is divided into 4 zones according to 4 separate commodity groups, such as Zone 1 has 36 selling points with dried and frozen seafood products; Zone 2 has 48 points of sale with crops, fruits; Area 3 has 30 points of sale with household plastic goods, clothes; Zone 4 has 24 points of sale with fresh meats, seafood.
Con Dao Market was built on a total area of about 4,381 m2, a scale of 198 business points with a total investment of 26.3 billion (vnd). The work was built in the old and expanded market area; Including items: Cage market houses have an area of about 1,709 m2; 429 m2 fresh seafood area and auxiliary items, including toilets, pumping stations, landfills, gathering area. In addition, the project also has technical infrastructure systems, such as yard, internal roads, water supply and drainage systems, wastewater treatment tanks, electricity supply and lightning protection.
