ESTABLISHING CON DAO NATIONAL MONUMENTS CONSERVATION CENTER

In the afternoon of 5/10, in Con Dao district, Department of Culture - Sports held a ceremony to announce the Decision to establish Con Dao National Monuments Conservation Center.

Attending the ceremony were Mr. Nguyen DinhTrung, Director of Department of Culture - Sports; Mr. Huynh Duc Dung, Deputy Director of Department of Culture and Sports; Mr. Le Van Duc, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee; Mr. Nguyen AnhNhut, Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee; leaders of the subject rooms of the Department of Culture and Sports with the staff, officials and employees of Con Dao National Monument Conservation Center.
Con Dao National Monuments Conservation Center was established under Decision No. 1521 / QD-UBND, June 18, 2019 of Ba Ria - Vung Tau People's Committee, on the basis of consolidating the National Monuments Management Board Con Dao and Con Dao Museum.
Con Dao National Monuments Conservation Center performs the function of inventorying, preserving, and collecting artifacts, scientific research, displaying, propagating, and serving visitors, promoting the value of the Di Diem area. National historical special record Con Dao Prison; preserve, embellish, and fight against the relics.
About the organizational structure of the Board of Directors with 1 Director, 2 Deputy Directors and 4 Specialized Departments, including Organization - Administration Department; Business Department; Gallery - Propaganda and Relics Management Department with 97 people including 45 staff and 52 labor contracts under Decree 68 of the Government 2000.
At the conference, the Department of Culture and Sports announced decisions to appoint the Con Dao National Monument Conservation Center. Ms. Pham Thi Tam, former Head of Con Dao Relic Management Board, was appointed as Director; Mr. Tran Van Quang and Ms. Le Thi Hang were appointed as Deputy Directors of Con Dao National Monuments Conservation Center./.
