Harmony in the joyful atmosphere of the whole country towards the 44th anniversary of the liberation of the South and the reunification of the country (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2019), 130 years of International Labor Day, 40th anniversary establishing Con Dao special national relic zone (April 29, 1979 - April 29, 2019), on the morning of March 29, 2019, Con Dao Management Board in coordination with the War Remnants Museum to organize the declaration. Seminar on "Con Dao Prison, Phu Quoc Prison - Earthly Hell".
Thematic exhibition "Con Dao Prison, Phu Quoc Prison - Earthly Hell" displays 150 images and documents to help visitors learn more about the colonial and imperial prison regime at two houses. The brutal prison is the Phu Quoc prison and the Con Dao prison, in which the crimes of the colonialists, the empire not only manifested by batons, gun, nose boots, but also brutal actions such as: imprisoned in "tiger cages", turned upside down, hit with mallets, struck with stingray, electric torture, burned red burning wire into flesh, chiseled teeth, and covered bags of boiling water or poured fire coal, burnt alive, buried alive ... These savage forms of torture have been proved by mass graves and nails of 8 to 12 inches in bone Europe, legs, feet, knees, arms, ... of the remains found. Despite the colonial regime, the empire imprisoned and carried out extremely brutal tortures, but still could not quell the will of the medieval revolutionary fighters.
Through the works on display, the exhibition has contributed to visitors seeing the brutality and cruelty of the colonial imperial prison system during the Vietnam invasion wars, thereby feeling the spirit of brave fighting and resilience of many generations of patriotic Vietnamese people "Would rather sacrifice, but not surrender" to gain independence for the nation, thereby propagating and educating patriotism, revolutionary traditions, political bravery, will, deep patriotism, loyalty to revolutionary career ... especially the young generation in the cause of national construction and defense.
