The Vice President visited and planted souvenir trees at Hang Duong cemetery

On the occasion of the business trip in Con Dao (CD) to attend the celebration of the 40th anniversary of the founding of Con Dao special national relic zone and the Labor Medal Class III; On the afternoon of April 26th, Mr. Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh, Party Central Committee member and Vice President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam offered incense to commemorate and plant souvenir trees at Hang Duong Cemetery (NTHD) Con Dao.
During the two resistance wars of the nation, there were more than 20,000 Vietnamese people sacrificed and remained on sacred land. Now Hang Duong cemetery is divided into 4 zones with nearly 2,000 graves; in which, there are 25 mass graves, nearly 1,160 graves unidentified. These are bright examples of courage, always upholding the spirit of the revolutionary people, glowing with uncompromising, indomitable quality, brave struggle to the final victory, leaving a shining example in Vietnamese history.
