With just one simple step, everyone can become an Ambassador for plastic reduction

In order to promote, spread, and educate about the awareness and responsibility of protecting the environment by "recycling" plastic waste into useful items in the lives of the people in Con Dao, especially students and youth; creating a healthy playground for students to design recycled products from plastic waste during the summer break. The Management Board of Con Dao National Tourism Area in collaboration with Dao Ngoc Travel Company and related units organize a competition of designing a recycling model product, with the theme "Ambassador for Plastic Reduction".
The "Recycling - Reusing" competition with the theme "Ambassador for Plastic Reduction" is a program organized for all primary, secondary, and high school students in Con Dao. Students can participate individually or in groups. Youth members includes youth members of organizations, units, armed forces, teachers who are youth members, etc. The program aims to promote, spread, and educate about the awareness and responsibility of protecting the environment by "recycling" plastic waste into useful items in the lives of the people in Con Dao, especially students. Creating a healthy playground for students to design recycled products from plastic waste during the summer break. Thereby promoting the image of plastic reduction tourism, green tourism, eco-tourism towards sustainable development, and environmental protection in Con Dao to a large number of tourists.
Accordingly, from usec materials, participants apply their creativity and skill to create useful products that ensure a green and sustainable spirit. Each product carries its own message that meets green and sustainable criteria while expressing a fresh perspective of each participants. The entries must be made from waste materials (used materials, such as milk cartons, soda cans, beer cans, plastic bottles, newspapers, used notebooks, cookie boxes, used pens...). The products must have practical value in daily life and convey a positive meaning regarding waste reuse and recycling, environmental protection. Participants can register and submit their entries directly at Sunrise Con Dao area (opposite to the Mobile Forest Ranger Station).

1. Product submission period: from the approved plan until the end of June 30th, 2024.
2. Product display period: starting from June 30th, 2024 until July 10th, 2024.
3. Scoring period: July 11th, 2024.
* Scoring method: competition entries will be scored by tourists and local residents through QR code scanning, and then the scoring results will be directly compiled by the Organizing Committee, based on criteria such as practical value, environmental protection significance, creativity, uniqueness...
Result announcement date: July 12th, 2024.
After 05 days from the result announcement date, if there are no complaints, the Organizing Committee will not be responsible for addressing any complaints.
Taking action to recycle and transform waste into useful objects is very important for daily life. This not only contributes to protecting our living environment, reducing waste in landfills, saving energy in processing... but also helps reduce living costs. Through this competition, the Management Board of Con Dao National Park and Dao Ngoc Travel Company hope to raise awareness and contribute to promoting the green lifestyle of the youth in the district.
