Journey "I love my country" to Con Dao

On the morning of July 26, at Pier 914, Con Dao district, Central Vietnam Youth Union, the Vietnam Youth Union of the province and VietJet's companion organized the third stage of the Journey "I love my country" in 2020 with the entitled "July of Gratitude", on the 73rd anniversary of the War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2020).

The journey "I love my country" is an activity aimed at concretizing the "I love my country" movement of the Vietnam Youth Union for the term of 2019-2024. Divided into 4 stages, with the themes "Thank you to the country" (held in Quang Tri province on April 29), "Young people do as Uncle" (held in Thua Thien-Hue province on May 17 ), "July of gratitude" (Con Dao district) and "Vietnam Pride" are associated with the country's major holidays.

Delegates, youth and members interacted with Ms. Nguyen Thi Ny, a former prisoner of Con Dao.

The third stage of the journey includes many activities such as: Making incense to visit martyrs heroes at Hang Duong Cemetery; talking with Con Dao former prisoners; gifting to 5 Con Dao former prisoners, 10 families of martyrs in the district (gift and VND 2 million in cash); awarding 10 scholarships (gift and VND 1 million in cash); visiting and giving gifts worth 10 million VND to the border post of Con Dao. On this occasion, the Central Vietnam Youth Union of Vietnam donated 2 youth works including: outdoor fitness equipment worth 100 million VND for Con Dao district; 1 orchid garden worth 100 million VND for Con Dao National Monument Conservation Center.
