Online seminar with the togetherness of Vietnam Tourism Ambassador to Korea  —   Ly Xuong Can, representative of Korea National Tourism Agency, ASEAN — Korea Center, Vietnam Airlines, Vietjet Air, HanaTour, Top Travel, with the participants about 40 units, businesses, and partners in the Korean market.
Chairing the online workshop, Deputy Head of the Tourism Market Area of Vu Nam said: Vietnam is a favorite destination for Korean tourists. Because of the influence of the COVID-19 epidemic, up to now, Korean tourists could not return to Vietnam, nor Vietnamese tourists have been able to travel to Korea. While waiting for global tourism to take up, GDT coordinated to construct this online seminar to educate Korean partners and organizations about the COVID-19 epidemic in Vietnam, efforts of the Govern Vietnam to revive the tourism industry after the COVID-19 pandemics, and some interesting products and destinations in Vietnam for Korean visitors.

Overview of online forums with the Korean market
Speaking at the group discussion, Vietnam Tourism Ambassador to Korea Ly Xuong Can said: Over the pastime, the relationship between Vietnam and Korea has spread in all aspects, the two countries have kept a great relationship. Friendship, collaboration, partnership for mutual development. In a half of 2020, with efforts to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 epidemic, we have impeded cooperation between the two countries, which is an unfortunate obstacle. Therefore, this online seminar is an opportunity to discuss the situation of tourism and what to do after COVID-19, expecting stakeholders to comment on new tourism patterns, and propose solutions to overcome difficulties and travel activities that can be deployed between the two sides after the COVID-19 translation.
Updating information on the present status of tourism activities, the situation of COVID-19 translation in Korea, and future tourism trends in Korea, Director of HanaTour Company in Hanoi, Ryu Bong Ki, said:  COVID-19 has also made an impact to change the way people and visitors access knowledge and services, mainly through apps and artificial intelligence, of which Kakao is one of the most prominent. In Korea, it is still an advertising channel, causing revenue from services and tourism for partners working with Kakao. Regarding the positioning-COVID-19 tourism movement, Mr. Ryu Bong Ki said that Korean tourists will see four copies: domestic tour, small group tour, freelance travel, internet travel. Therefore, limits require to concentrate further on customer demands, through online channels.
At the round table, the Tourism Market Department informed Korean partners about the situation of COVID-19 epidemic force in Vietnam, on the 85th day there were no cases of the epidemic in the company. Domestic tourism projects have constantly returned to normal, with the program “Vietnamese traveling to Vietnam” launched by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and tourism promotion programs taking place. All localities have introduced attractive tourism products to attract domestic tourists. Airlines increase flights and open new ones. From April 23, 2020, up to now, Vietnam Airlines has transported 0.5 million domestic passengers, completely started domestic routes, expanded to operate 18 alternative routes; Viet jet Air operates 45 domestic routes with over 300 routes per day, reaching 7,000 flights. Travel businesses, hotels provide promotions, tourism products to attract domestic tourists. The Vietnam tourism industry is preparing plans to safely welcome international tourists after governments allow the opening of the borders.
Some Korean businesses at the online seminar have expressed special interest when Vietnam opens up international tourism activities; Visa policy for Korean tourists; the traveling trend of Vietnamese tourists; the time when Vietnamese tourists can return to international travel; transport infrastructure in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh; the development of mountain resort destinations like Sapa ...
Faced with the complicated development of the COVID-19 epidemic in the world with the risk of spreading and breaking out again in many countries today, the Government of Vietnam and the governments of many other countries need more time to weigh prompting conditions that could reopen international markets. We also look forward to making COVID-19 around the world quickly controlled so international tourism can reopen, to restore the tourism industry of Vietnam, Korea, and world tourism. — Deputy Director of the Department of Tourism Market - Vu Nam shared.
For the Korean market, the Tourism Market Department also provided additional information on some activities and solutions to enhance the attraction of Korean tourists after COVID-19 such as organizing a market launch program in major cities of Korea; promote Vietnam Tourism on LED screens in some extensive buildings in Seoul; continue to coordinate with Tourism Ambassador — Ly Xuong Can implement other tourism promotion activities for the Korean market.
