Opening ceremony of the traditional festival: The 238th death anniversary of Mrs Phi Yen

On the morning of November 28th, 2023 (on the October 16th in the lunar calendar), Con Dao district (Ba Ria-Vung Tau province) held the opening ceremony of the Traditional Festival: 238th death anniversary of Mrs Phi Yen which was attended by thousands of residents and tourists.
Traditional Festival The death anniversary of Mrs. Phi Yen is the largest cultural event held annually in Con Dao district, and has been included in the National Intangible Cultural Heritage List by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. according to Decision No. 2705/QD-BVHTTDL dated October 28, 2022.

This year, the Festival will be held for 3 days, November 28-29-30th, 2023 (on October 16-17-18 of the lunar calendar). In addition to the ceremony with traditional rituals, local people and tourists may visit and enjoy the festive space at An Son Temple relic with cultural, artistic and sports activities.such as participating in folk games, experiencing Con Dao specialty and souvenir stalls, and environmentally friendly recycled products; Con Dao painting contest, folk cake making contest, flower arranging contest, five-fruit tray making contest, and calligraphy writing; Art exchange program "Don Ca Tai Tu"; The procession of the Hoi An Prince tablet... The official ceremony will take place at 10:00 a.m. on November 30, 2023 (on the October 18th day of the lunar calendar).

On the opening day, Con Dao district organized a cycling program for the environment, a tug-of-war competition with the participation of 238 people, and other traditional folk games.
