With 465 booths of 672 enterprises, including 109 booths of enterprises and promotion agencies of 25 countries and territories, there are about 3,000 businesses and about 61,000 visitors visiting and buying travel products at the fair. VITM has held the position of International Tourism Mark with largest scale in Vietnam. Many units participated in the Fair such as Hanoi Tourism Department, Vietravel, Saigontourist, Hanoitourist ... with the booths are architectural works, bearing the stamp of the traditional culture. International booths such as Korea, Japan, the Philippines, Cambodia, ... are designed fancy, beautiful to attract visitors.

According to the statistics of 18 major travel companies participating in the Fair, there were 20,070 domestic and international tours sold at this trade mark. Sales of these companies reached about VND 212 billion. Some travel companies got abudant revenues such as: Vietrantour reached VND 6.7 billion revenue after only two days of the fair; Hanoi Redtours welcomed nearly 10,000 visitors visiting, finding information and about 3,000 customers registered tours, reached total revenue of VND 21 billion; TransViet has sold more than 2,500 tours, achieved more than VND 26 billion, up 30% compared to VITM 2016.
Speaking at the closing ceremony, Vu The Binh - Vice Chairman of Vietnam Tourism Association, Head of organizing of VITM Hanoi 2017 confirmed that:" With a series of events on the side of the fair such as seminars, speaking, interactions, gratituding activities customers, business activities, professional and multicultural exchanges in many days of the fair have made VITM become a trademark of Vietnam Tourism."
In particular, the International Street Food Festival was first held at VITM to create a new look of the Fair. There are street food dishes of nine countries, including Korea, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, Mexico, Italy, USA, The Philippines and Vietnam. Ending the International Street Food Festival, Organizing Committee of VITM Hanoi 2017 honored 10 dishes, 5 chefs and 5 companies actively participating in the event.
Within the framework of VITM Hanoi 2017, there have been held 8 workshops and 7 press conferences and product launches, including large conferences such as the "Implementation of Resolution No. 08-NQ/TW of the Politburo to develop tourism into a key economic sector " with the participation of hundreds of enterprises and leaders of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, the Departments of Tourism Management and leaders of the Central Economic Commission. At the seminars, enterprises and media agencies and the press have discussed and proposed to the State practical solutions bringing tourism sector become a key economic industry of country.
At the closing ceremony of VITM Hanoi 2017, the organizers awarded prizes to the most impressive booths, the most effective stimulus units and commemorative medals for active participants, famous cooks joining the culinary festival.
In particular, the Vietnam Tourism Association held a ceremony to honor the top 10 travel businesses bringing traveling abroad tours in 2017 on this occasion. This event will become an annual event at VITM.
To evaluate the results of VITM Hanoi 2017, the Organizing Committee organized a survey of participants with the method of ERST project funded by EU. Collecting comments from 438 questionnaires of the participants gave some information about VITM Hanoi 2017. Overall, 79.5% of the units were satisfied with the Fair, 16.8% rated normal and 2.7% unsatisfied. In terms of meeting the target, there were 95.2% of businesses satisfied, of which 7.7% said they were out of expectation. The remaining 4.8% of businesses do not see the target. About 72.7% of businesses committed joining VITM next year.
