Planning a national tourist site covered 1.000 ha at Con Dao

The master plan for Con Dao National Tourist Site development approved by the Prime Minister will make Con Dao become an worldwide tourist city.

Accordingly, an area of about 1,000 hectares in Con Dao is developed into a national tourist site with modern and synchronous facilities.

Con Dao National park will be divided into subdivisions, including Con Son town center; French Quarter in Con Son town; History - culture - spirit area; Ben Dam port; Wild coastline; Landscape coastline; Con Dao Mountains (including Con Dao National Park) and a system of small islands.

In order to form Con Dao National Tourist Site, Management Board have to complete the first phase of the project in the period from now to 2020: An Hai sea park and marine resort; Co Ong garden resort; Dam Trau Ecological Resort; Bai Ong beach; So Ray forest eco-resort; Bay Hon Canh sightseeing site; Hon Cau eco-resort; Tourist site on Dam Tre Bay and Con Ngua peninsula.

The plan also highlights the targets by 2030. These are to welcome about 300,000 visitors; Of which, about 120,000 international visitors (40%) and to gain total revenue of about VND 1,200 billion by 2020, about VND 2,800 billion by 2030 from tourists ...

The tourist market will focus on convalescence tourists, cultural-spiritual tourism, education of tradition - revolution – history; Visitors come from big cities and tourist centers such as Hanoi capital, Ho Chi Minh city, Can Tho City, Da Nang ...; Focusing on attracting international visitors from Japan, China, South Korea, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and some countries in Southeast Asia.

In addition to the tourist routes from Con Son Town (or Con Dao National Park) to destinations attractions: Chim Chim Cape - Co Ong - Dam Tre bay, Ong Dung beach - Ong Cau beach – Thanh Gia Mount , Ca Map cape - Ben Dam bay; Walking routes, Riding bicycles route... some inter-regional routes (air and sea) will be formed to connect Con Dao with Vung Tau City, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Thua Thien Hue, Can Tho, Phu Quoc Island ... for attractting more visitors.
