TOURISM DEPARTMENTS IN THE SOUTH AREA COOPERATING TO BUILD A STIMULUS TOUR

In the afternoon of July 10, in Con Dao district, the Emulation Cluster of Tourism Departments of the Southern region held a conference to summarize the emulation and commendation in the first 6 months and deploy key tasks in the last 6 months of 2020.
Leaders of Tourism Departments of 8 provinces and cities signed tourism cooperation agreements.
In the first 6 months of 2020, provinces and cities in the cluster reduced by 50 to 70% of the number of tourists and turnover. As soon as the COVID-19 epidemic was well controlled, the tourism industry focused on deploying programs of regional cooperation to stimulate tourism development again. The Tourism Departments proposed to the Ministry of Culture, Sport and Tourism to propose the Government to have a mechanism to support the training of tourism human resources; continue to reduce electricity and tax rates; reviewing, assessing advantages and problems when deploying support packages for businesses, workers of tourism industry affected by COVID-19 epidemic to promptly remove inadequacies. In addition, the Departments also proposed the Ministry of Culture, Sport, and Tourism to focus on funding for domestic tourism promotion in order to push the program "Vietnamese people travel Vietnam". Within the framework of the conference, the Department of Culture, Sport, and Tourism of 8 provinces and cities including BR-VT, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Binh Dinh, Khanh Hoa, Kien Giang, Can Tho, Binh Thuan signed a cooperating stimulus tourism agreement. The content of the agreement focuses on building inter-regional and inter-regional tours based on differences with preferential prices offered for sale and attracting mutual consumers; exchange of state management experience; developing tourism products, promoting tourism promotion.
