On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Vietnam’s war invalids and martyrs Day (27/7/1947 - 27/7/2017), delegates and leaders of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province attending the live broadcast of "Sacred Vietnam" visited, censed to heroes, martyrs, patriots resting at Hang Duong cemetery on the morning of July 22.
Ms. Truong My Hoa - Former Vice President, Ms. Nguyen Thi Quyet Tam - Deputy Secretary of Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, Ms. Nguyen Thi Yen - Deputy Secretary of Ba Ria - Vung Tau Party Committee. Leaders of District Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee of Fatherland Front of Con Dao district and representatives of some departments, branches and armed forces of the province attended the ceremony.
More than 20,000 Vietnamese people sacrificed and rested on the sacred Con Dao land during the two resistance of the nation. Currently, Hang Duong cemetery is divided into 4 quarters with nearly 2,000 graves; Of these, there are 25 shared tombs, nearly 1,160 unidentified graves. These are the bright examples of courage, indomitable and determination spirit of revolutionary soldiers for the final victory. They become shining examples in the history of Vietnam.
In front of the spirit of heroes, martyrs and patriots, the leaders of the Party, the former leaders of the Party and the State bowed their heads with great respect to express their gratitude for the great merits of older generations in the glorious revolutionary cause of the Party and people. Comrades promise striving, studying to fulfill their assigned tasks excellently for the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.
