An overall environmental sanitation will be organized throughout Con Dao district

Con Dao welcomed nearly 167,000 visitors last year. After implementing the Resolution No. 08-NQ/TW of the Politburo on "Developing tourism into a key economic sector", Con Dao tourism developed more and more. The number of visitors increased strongly. To develop sustainable tourism, Con Dao district have to keep environment "green - clean - beautiful".

To implement the guidance of the People's Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province on the collection and treatment of waste at the beaches in the district and hold practical activities to celebrate great holidays in April 2017, Con Dao carried out an overall environmental sanitation, beaches cleaning, waste collection and treatment and stepped up measures to minimize the spread of contamination in temporary landfills. These measures will protect marine environment to serve tourists and people in the holidays.

Launching the movement to protect the environment and mobilizing organizations, individuals, agencies, units, unions and people together to clean up environment, clean the beach, practice the environmentally friendly lifestyle

This environmental sanitation will raise awareness, propagate and educate about the importance of environmental protection to all cadres, soldiers, civil servants, officials and people and visitors. The "Green - Clean - Beautiful" environment will contribute to develop a sustainable and friendly tourism.
