"Flowers in storms" exhibition consists of three main contents: Road to the Revolution; Flowers in storms; Deep gratitude, requiting gratitude. With more than 200 images, the exhibition has introduced visitors both at home and abroad about the importance and contribution of the Vietnamese women generations and honoured the flowers on harsh fronts. In the history of struggling for independence and liberation of Vietnam, many generations have sacrificed their lives to contribute to the glorious revolutionary of the nation in which Vietnamese women are always important forces. They made many great contributions and created many bold marks. Pictures of mothers, sisters, and stubborn wife appeared on all fronts: contact woman, agitprop, militia, hiding cadres or directly fighting. On all fronts they always shined as beautiful mirrors. In particular, on a front –colonial and imperial prisons where only heart, brain and immortal love to the country urged tens of thousands of revolutionary soldiers to fight against the enemy. They turned the prison into a communist school. With the belief of victory, generations of women were ready to devote to perpetual existence of the country.
Blood, tears and time has made the long green hair turn white. The cruel enemy has stolen private happiness of mothers, sisters but on the dark background of “the hell on the earth", flowers were still fragrant, despite all the difficulties to shine. In that struggle, patriotic female soldiers such as Nguyen Thi Minh Khai, Nguyen Thi Quang Thai, Pham Thi Van, Vo Thi Sau, ... sacrificed and became "immortal flowers" in the hearts of Vietnam people. The sacrificial mirrors of the feminine warriors are the example for women to follow. As President Ho Chi Minh said: "Vietnam homeland was embroider by women, young as well as old for more brighter."
Through the exhibited works, the exhibition expressed gratitude and requite gratitude to the patriotic female soldiers who were detained by the enemy in colonial and imperialist prisons. At the same time the exhibition also contributed to propaganda and educated patriotism, revolutionary tradition to the public especially the younger generations in the cause of building and defending beloved country.
