EXHIBITION “UNCLE HO'S TEACHING WILL LIGHT OUR WAY”

On the occasion of the 74th anniversary of the August Revolution and the National Day of 2.9 and 50 years of implementing the Will of President Ho Chi Minh; On August 30, the Con Dao district library cooperated with the Management Board of Con Dao Relics, the District Military Administration Board, the 2nd and 3rd Residential Zones to organize the exhibition and exhibition of art and picture books with the owner. "Uncle Ho's teaching will light our way". The exhibition will be held at the Residential Quarter 3 Cultural House.

In the book display section, there are many publications about President Ho Chi Minh, about His Will and the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam in the resistance against French colonialism and American imperialism. This exhibit also introduces historical documents and legendary celebrities of the Vietnamese nation through the two wars of resistance; documents on Vietnam's sea and islands and stories of Uncle Ho accompanying the years.
In addition, the exhibition also introduces nearly 100 images of President Ho Chi Minh, with the following contents: Ho Chi Minh - Person is the winning belief; Uncle Ho and War Invalids and Martyrs; Uncle Ho and the sea.
A special feature is an exhibition held at the Cultural House and Community Learning Area No. 3 - a residential area about 2 km from the center of the Con Dao Community, which is the second most populous area in the district and has 5 Armed Forces units are stationed. The exhibition is organized at the grassroots level to increase the bringing of cultural activities closer to the area of the people; to formulate and encourage reading habits for officials, soldiers, people, and young people in residential areas on the island. Through valuable images, books, and exhibitions, the exhibition also contributes to arousing the passion for reading in the community, gradually developing bookcase base on the island, creating motivation for the development of reading culture in the residential community.
Exhibition of art books and pictures celebrating the 50th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's Will in Con Dao, so it is not only meaningful for propaganda and education but also shows gratitude to President Ho Chi Minh. Documents and images at the exhibition affirm Uncle Ho's life, career, ideology, and morality forever in the hearts and hearts of every Vietnamese people. His will is to be the light of the present generation and remains valid even after 50 years; the exhibition is also an opportunity to encourage all people, especially young people to review the history of the trenches, glorious victory of the Vietnamese nation.

On this occasion, the Con Dao District Library mobilized and presented 14 bookshelves to the residential areas and the district armed forces with a total budget of nearly VND 108 million. As planned, the exhibition will be open from August 30 to September 5, 2019.
